What to do with generational stamping

Yesterday, I explained just what the heck generational stamping one. Today I'll explain how to use it in a project. (just one of many ways).

For this example, I'm using a shade similar to the one that I did earlier in the week and the stamp set "Perfect Day". It's one of my favorite stamp sets. I use it all the time. You'll see it's stained quite a bit. I used black pigment chalk ink on it before I knew better. Oops!

Put your stamp on your block, ink it up and stamp your image. Raise the stamp up off the paper but only move over just a little bit and without re-inking, stamp again!

The result is a sort of "shadow" to your original image. This stamp wasn't the ideal one to use to show this idea, but I couldn't find one handy that was. SO, you get to see me use my favorite stamp set again.

This works really good on florals. Not so much here, like I said but you get the idea. Sometimes, it adds interest to a focal image if it has a little shadow like that. \

Ink used today was ctmh Slate
Happy Crafting.
