Layered Stamping

Continuing my theme of stamping this week, today I'm going to show you some layered stamping. It's really cool and give some awesome effects. Today, I'm using some scrap paper
http://heatherwalter.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6849&CatalogID=891 and Ctmh grey flannel inks and the Stamp set from the Avonlea scrapbooking Workshop on the Go kit. This is a very good set to show you what can be done with layering. I'm still on vacation, so I'm sorry if this post seems short or rushed. I'm going to do my best to show you the concept. It's not difficult, don't worry!

Using one of the small basic flower stamps from the set I'm using and a decently light color, I've stamped three flowers.  Nothing fancy or hard, right? Right!

Here's where the layering comes into play. I took a darker ink and grabbed some of the more elaborate center and "petal" stamps from the same set. With the darker ink, I stamped right over the image I stamped previously. It gives it more dimension and a little more "oomph" plus of course, lovely details! This works especially well with flowers and stems, different petal styles. Experiment with different colors, styles or even generational stamping!

Happy Crafting!
