Help a Doggie Get Surgery

How cute is Owen? :)
Hey again, guys!

I thought I'd take a break from working on redecorating the site, so let you know about a friend of mine. Her poor little doggie, Owen needs expensive knee surgery. She has started a gofundme page to raise the money needed. She has only raised 115.00 so far. I think together, we can help her increase that number! Every little bit helps and gofundme allows you to donate a minimum of 5$. I had 10$ sitting in mine from some survey sites I was messing with, so I gave it to her. Posted below, is Owen's story:

Hi, my name is Tanya and pictured is my best friend in the world, my heart, my everything ... my Owen. The first time I met Owen he came barreling out of a fenced in area with a line of other puppies. Instead of playing with his friends, he came over to me and rolled over on his back for a belly rub. It was love at first sight! That was nearly 8 years ago.Owen is a sweet 8 year-old Shih Tzu / Poodle mix (Shih-poo) in need of surgery to fix his luxating patella otherwise known as a floating knee cap. His knee cap, due to genetics, continues to go in and out of place because of a shallow groove. On his left leg, the knee cap is completely out of the groove and his body is forming scar tissue in order to keep it trapped where it is ... completely in the wrong spot! The corrective surgery is going to cost between $1,800 and $2,500. This is a huge amount and my finances are already stretched to the limit. I am hoping to schedule this surgery in early May at Lockridge Animal Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire where an orthopedic surgeon will perform the procedure with Owen's life-long veterinarian. Owen has always had luxating patellas, but as he gets older, the problem has become more severe, encroaching on his beloved walks. My vet informed me that because of the scar tissue, he cannot fully extend his leg which means even when he's in pain, he can't hold up his leg to help alleviate it. If left untreated Owen could end up becoming immobile due to arthritis that will keep his knee cap in a state of permanent swelling.  Please help Owen get this mobility saving surgery!Any donation no matter the size would be appreciated to the highest degree.

I decided to remove my own gofundme from the sidebar (for now) and add Owen's. Please consider donating or sharing the story on your Facebook or other social media accounts.

Thanks!
