Baby Bunny Hat and Diaper Cover

outside my front door. Snow ahoy!

Happy Thursday, everyone! Here in Missouri, it is snowing.. a lot. we might get up to ten inches of snow! There is probably 5-6 out there right now. Of course, I'm guessing about that amount,as I am warm on my couch! Last night, I made a little project I wanted to share with you. It's a little bunny hat and diaper cover. I made this one in size 3-6 months. It's going to be an example for my Etsy shop. I'm going to send it to a photographer friend to use and she will take some good photos for me to use in my shop. Win win.

The pattern I used was from one of my favorite place for cute patterns, Repeat Crafter Me . I have also made her owl hats. In the bunny hat pattern, she has an adorable face on hers, but I didn't have any buttons that would work, so I skipped it this time. I think it's still dang adorable though.

I always have wanted to make my own pattern, but anything I can think of is already out there and adorable, so I end up just going with that.

The matching diaper cover for the bunny hat is made from this pattern. What's great about it is that all the holes from the triple crochet stitches make your buttonholes. This means that this cover is very adjustable. Bonus!

I am also planning on making a boy version to send to my photog pal, but I hate piecing and the hat had a decent amount of it, so I'm taking a breather for now. I'm working on a little boy's basketball hat for a friend and I need to sew on all the lines for the ball part of the hat. Grr! I am using the basic owl hat design for this hat, just not making it into an owl. I will, of course, share it on here when it is done.

I would highly recommend Repeat Crafter Me's Adorable and free patterns. Go check her out.
