They are a tiny bit too perky for me, but I love their ideas, so I forgive them, :) I decided to break out my own supplies. I was suprised to find that I don't have any stamps that really lend themselves to this technique. The best I had was a Christmas set of ctmh stamps that are retired and from last holiday season.
What I used
- Close to My Heart Exclusive Ink. Color: Cranberry.
- Retired Close to My Heart clear stamp set
- white scrap cardstock
- two acrylic blocks, one Fiskars and one ctmh
- I inked up my first stamp as usual, (the stamp with the writing design) and stamped it onto white scrap cardstock
3. Next, I took the uninked first stamp (the one with the writing) and pressed it down on top of the inked "wrong side" stamp. This is the "kiss"
I then took the bototm stamp (the flipped stamp with all the red ink all over) and stamped it on paper like usual
As you can see, you sort of get a "reverse/negative" of the first image. It's cool, but like I said.. I didn't have the perfect stamp set to highlight it. I still think the technique is neat. Now, I just have to get some bigger clear stamps. Ones that are more detailed. Maybe a large floral like they used on the video. Have you tried this? How did it turn out!
Happy Crafting!
